WHY WE SAY IT: Namaste !

My soul honors your soul.

I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides.

I honor the light, love, truth, beauty and peace within you. Because it is also within me.

Together In sharing these things, we are united, we are the same

WE ARE ONE

Do you Namaste? do you really know what Namaste means? Have you heard your YOGA teacher say it at the end of the class, and you either ignored it, or you Namaste back?

There are so many different definitions for this powerful Sanskrit-Hindi word.

Here are several:

- I bow to you

- The spirit in me honors the spirit in you

- The light in me honors the light in you

- I respect

Typically Namaste happens at the end of a YOGA class, but really can happen anytime you choose. It's a sign of acknowledging others but also a reminder to acknowledge our own balance.

Therefore, Namaste is a word that gives us the chance to respect, acknowledge and honor the light within. It allows us to respect the balance that we create through the discipline of YOGA and Meditation.
